I think im suffering from anorexia

Im not sure if i actually do. Basically whenever theres any fatty food such as even a drop of oil on something i never eat it thinking i will put on weight. I have gone from having a 36 inch waist to a 30 inch but still not satisfied, as now i want to be 29 inches. I workout with dumbells to build muscle mass but hesitant to eat any food with a drop of oil in them or dairy products.

Sounds like you're just picky. Surely a 30 waist is much healthier than a 36 waist. Are you male or female?

I know next to nothing about anorexia, but I do know what you're doing is dangerous - there is a recommended daily limit of fat you should eat, but that in no way means you should eat none at all. Fat is necessary in your diet, even if you just go ahead and burn it straight back off (because, if you eat under this recommended limit and have a fairly normal exercise routine, you do) - you need it going through you. It's an essential backup energy supply, among other things.

i manage to cram in 20-25 grams of fat a day. Maybe more when i eat out.

If you're working out to build muscle mass you can't be anorexic, beacause as you'll know increasing muscle mass increases body size. Anorexics have a fear of weight gain hence why they eat next to nothing. If you're eating a healthy and varied diet besides then I can't see the problem. Chances are though, that somewhere in your diet, you are still eating fat.

yeah i used to be anorexic when i was 14, i knew i was ill, but thought nothing of it, until friends and family started noticing, so i slowly began to eat again..and well now i'm 18 and all curvy (well at least a bit)

well i have cereal for breaky , sandwich with max 10 grams of fat content for lunch and then for dinner i have rice and chicken for example which would have 10 grams more fat. Then ill have some yoghurt. Also i have 1 tablet of multivitamins a day.

Sounds like your just overly consious of your diet, nothing wrong with that I think.

Well i try and only have 1200 cals a day , im only 5'8 after all. I also try and eat as much protein as i can, currently managing 30 grams a day.

1200 calories a day! Thats like 3 krispe kreme donuts....

i read somewhere as long as you eat 1200 cals a day your metabolism doesnt get affected. is that true?

i read somewhere as long as you eat 1200 cals a day your metabolism doesnt get affected. is that true?

I wouldn't risk it on an "I read it somewhere".

You're aware there is a problem, why don't you change it? Stop calorie and gram counting. Eat a healthy diet, inc. meat, fish, fruit, fibre, minerals, vitamins, proteins etc and you should be fine.
