this evening

i am going to take a pregnancy test.

i'm 90% sure i'm not pregnant (what i want)

and 10% sure i am (my absolute nightmare)

my boyfriend is coming over and we thought i should do it with him here.

i am really really frightened i might be pregnant :frown:

the following is an account of why i think i might be pregnant:

during my last cycle i had sex just the once, i am not on the pill.

my boyfriend did not ejaculate inside me, however he did enter me for about 2 minutes unprotected. this was foolish, i have most definitely learnt my lesson.

he doesn't usually let out any "pre-cum" so i'm not sure i have too much reason to worry.

my period however is late, by at least a few days, and whilst i'm not the most regular of people, it usually arrives during the same week and that week has passed.

i do wonder if exam stress has postponed my menstural cycle although the signs i usually have (sore boobs, mild cramping) before having my period, haven't happened.

my question to you lot is:

should i really be worried?.. or at least, if it was you, in these circumstances, would you be worried.

i'm fully aware that protection should be used from the beginning of any sexual encounter, and i've now certainly learnt from this mistake. we are both sti and std free by the way.

Just take the test, stop trying to justify the if's and buts. Good luck.

justifying is the only thing that makes me feel better about it... i'm so frightened :frown:

I suggest you do the test as soon as possible, whether your boyfriend is there or not, so you can get some peace of mind. I know a lot of girls who get so stressed after an unprotected sexual encounter, that their period is late. Without being pregnant.

Hope everything works out fine!

I would of took the test as soon as i started to get worried. I know the justifying is making you feel better, but its gotta be making you worry more too. I know the more i justified it the more id rehash and then worry. Its a vicious circle.

i only REALLY started to worry a couple of days ago really.

i'm going on holiday on thursday, and i didn't want to take a test until i came back just incase it was positive and i would have ruined my holiday by not knowing what to do with myself.

i told my boyfriend this who decided it was a ridiculous idea, and is making me do it tonight :p:

besides, i have to wait for him to come over as i asked him kindly to go to boots as he wouldn't get evil stares from women working there thinking i'm too young... (i'm 19, i look very babyfaced though!)
Take the test but next time you have sex, use a condom.
How did it go? (I'm guessing you've taken the test now?) Hope everything's cool
