Hey, I'm 17 year old female and I'm really overweight so I was wondering if guys are ever attracted to overweight girls? I'm also only 5 foot so it's not very flattering. Before you say, "lose weight then", I can't because I have a medical condition which causes cramping and pain so I have to take large doses of steroids and these cause weight gain. No-one knows of my condition except my parents because I don't want to be judged or have friends based on sympathy. Is there anything I can do?

I really feel for you, I know someone with a similar(ish) situation, and they have a lovely boyfriend!
Good luck, I hope things turn out OK for you. My advice is to be confident and bubbly and also to remember that haveing a BF is not the be all and end all, especially at 17.

There probably are some, but I'd hazard that the majority are not.

Thanks, it's really hard as no guy has really been attracted to me. My last boyfriend left me a while back and I think it may be something to do with me putting more weight on due to the steroids. It's going to be at least 1-2 years before I can go back to a normal healthy weight but I may have to go on the steroids again so i'm fearful no-one will ever be attracted to me

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to come out of my shell a bit instead of being shy so possibly they could like me based on my personality, but it's hard because I have low self-esteem because of it

Wow, it's probably for the best that guy left you tbh. You don't wanna be with someone that shallow.

I personally don't mind "overweight" chicks but it depends how they wear it of course. But then it also depends on what you mean by overweight.

Overweight to me describes someone who has a bit of a belly and is slightly plump. There's a difference between that and obesity.

I don't know. But you know you won't necessarily get a representative view on tsr.
Maybe it would be helpful to think about yourself...
How do you see yourself?
Do you like yourself?
Why is it important to me to know whether guys find overweight girls attractive?
What will happen if they the tsrians say they don't?
What will happen if they say they do?
Are you likely to date the guys who say they do on here? (Who knows)
Is the internets opinion important to me?
Why do I need to feel to make a thread that may make me feel bad about myself, if I cant help the way I am?
Girl, it doesn't matter what anyone here says.
Okay, thank you, I was just wondering whether it was possible for someone to be attracted to an overweight girl or if I would be forever alone. Your questions gave me some things to think about certainly. Maybe if I come out my shell a bit, guys might be more interested in me. I'm thinking about starting some hobbies up so that guys might start to like me based on my interests even though I know most guys only date girls based on their looks.

I'm overweight, not obese although the steroids may eventually cause that. I can't wait till eventually I am off them, but I may have to go on them in future so I need to find someone to accept me for who I am.

To be brutally honest, all humans, not just men, are attracted by looks, we base most our first impressions on looks.

So if I was initially attracted to you at first, then you became obese it would be different because I would be attracted to your personality and accept you for who you are.

I feel for you, but don't get too hung up on it, there's someone out there for everyone. Just focus on being the best version of yourself and accept who you are before you even think about having a partner

Seeing as there is a category for chubby women on porn sites, I think this indicates that some men do prefer a bit of cushion for the pushin'

Anyway how much do you weigh, if you don't me asking?

In my experience, no. But there are things you can do about it if you want.

Yep most definitely, could you not do some form of exercise too?

I find that exercise makes me feel better about myself and makes me a more positive person.

Even if it's just walking? Swimming is easy on the joints too!

But definitely look into them drama classes or anything you enjoy.

What do you mean?
I mean that in my experience not many guys do like overweight girls. The difference between how guys see me now compared to when I was very overweight is huge. It's so much nicer to not feel so desperate about getting someone to like me. But it depends on how overweight you are, really, because I think you can get away with it if it balances out.
