Why do people say that they are doing nothing? It's impossible to do nothing, you're always doing something if it's breathing or thinking of staring at something. It's annoying!

The person could just say that I do not wish to tell you.

I say 'nothing' when I'm doing something I shouldn't be doing, or when I'm not doing anything of any significance

Nothing would imply that you're not doing anything which is impossible.

Is this really an issue for you lool? I guess using the word 'nothing' doesn't require further details whereas going in depth will be annoying.

One reply I like to give, when people ask me wha I'm doing, is 'Wasting my time Talking to You?'

And what do you hope to get out of this loool? All that aside, I get youu / // But stuff like that and things like 'Why do we exist?' are just questions that are best left unanswered . . . Its the cowardly way out, but certainly a way that'll save time

This.

People are not going to respond with 'I'm breathing' cause that would be ridiculous, again, like the other thread, why do you have to be so pedantic about a non-issue?

Relative to everything going on, you're doing nothing.

When you're driving, what speed are you doing? Oh just 100'000 km/h, +-50 depending on which way I'm going

'Nothing' makes perfect sense because I'm not doing anything we as humans don't already do naturally. Breathing and thinking doesn't count because WE ALL breathe and think.

Apart from unconcious things like blinking and breathing, they probably are in fact consciously doing nothing

Anyway, it sounds a bit sarky to tell someone "I'm breathing"

That just seems impolite.

I think it's better to be truthful.
