so..can someone who did Bio HL and Chem HL advise me?? whether i should take both higher or Bio SL?
Also i'm thinking of doing my EE on doing experiment(chem). is it a good idea to do it or should i change ma mind and just do it on individuals and society?
I'm thinking of becoming a vet or just study medicine..so plez help!!!!!!!!!

Bio HL is really hard, especially when it comes to studying for the final exams.

if you want to study medicine (like me) you HAVE to do chem HL. it is recommended that you do Bio HL.
i have been doing boht of them for a year now and they are not impossible to handle provided that you do the work. chem was quite hard in the beginning but slowly you get use to it. adapting to the material of HL bio was smooth.

You know, in Holland it's all the way around. You have to have Bio HL and you must have Chemistry, either SL or HL.
Now, which of the two (Bio HL and Chem HL) easier. Despite my love towards bio and what-used-to-be-absolute-hatred for chem, I find chem. much easier than bio. I take Math HL so I assume this helps to understand chem much easier. I've not encountered anything that was tough. In bio, however, once it gets to respiration and photosynthesis, you might find it very challenging (although it's just physical chemistry )

That really depends on you AND your teachers. I never particularly love Chem, so I take SL Chem and since I love Bio like crazy I take HL. Somehow my Bio teacher is also better in teaching than my Chem teacher, so everybody finds Bio always easier than Chem. But I have 3 friends who do HL in both subjects and they're just fine. Maybe bcoz they like both subjects, no matter how bad the teacher is.

One tip from me: you've got to be very good at memorising if you want to do HL Bio. There are LOADS to store in your memory. Yes you must use your logic too at times, but still...

Bio HL has a lot of memorising to do... so you must be prepared to study a lot for the final. You cannot leave the studying to the last minute.

Bio SL has a lot less material to cover then HL!!!
do bio HL just learn stuff

physics HL thats where its at :p:

I didn't find higher Biology that hard to be honest, just remember what you've been taught and write it back out in the exam. the data interpretation questions on the papers require very little biological knowlegde, more common sense.

Bio HL is pretty challenging, but if you're gonna study medicine, vetrenary or anything from the field of biology then taking bio HL would be a great idea. Chemistry HL is probably the easiest subject from all HL's..well that's at least what my bio and chem teachers told me..anyways, i'm taking both bio and chem HL's, plus english A2 and psychology HL's (yes, that's 4 HL's total), and i'm doing fine!
good luck!
its very hard yes.
Biology HL is not just about memorising a lot, its also a lot about analytical thinking. This is evident in the exam papers, so if you're seriously considering doing Biology HL, you should do a lot of practice on the exam papers through out the course.

Also, learn the syllabus throughly, the IB are very good at asking questions from the corners of the syllabus.

If you are a hard worker, well I hope you are since you're doing the IB! then nothing's impossible.
