FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GUYS! Stop arguing over running, you are making yourselves look like a pair of fools! Next you'll be both saying "I know you are but what am I?"

What is the minimum level of the MSFT do you need for raf OASC? I know it is 9.10 but does this mean level 9?

Yep. It's between 9 and 10; level 9, but 10 shuttles in.

Well, mate, it was a TYPO. A SINGLE ISOLATED TYPO. I didn't, however, make stupid mistakes like ''english'', ''trainning'', ''iraq'', ''afghanistan'', and ''i''. Oh, and let's not forget that just clause at the start of that greatly constructed third sentence.

Sorry, but no. You didn't mention ''conditioning'' your hair, nails or any other part of your body until later, and in response to a completely different question. What you said is that running on grass helps to eradicate shin splints (according to your RAF physio), and that running on roads is the cause for them - so we shouldn't run on them. I'm telling you you (and your physio) are wrong. Due to the fact I know a fair amount about running by myself anyway and that I used to have a physio (not including Service physios while I was in the Navy too), I think I have a fair amount of knowledge to sustain my argument that running on roads doesn't cause injury - should you do it properly.

Yes, well if you were to type properly I wouldn't have to! Also, I didn't have to ''pick [them] out''; they were floating on the surface calling for any ship able to recognise and communicate with them to adhere to the fact they were sinking due to there inability to communicate with the outside world. I like that one better. Quite clever indeed.

Yes, they can decide wither or not to listen to you and the advice given from your ''RAF physio''. I won't, because I know (from experience) better.

Yes, loser, yes... OK then mate. I'm not even going to bother with you - you're not worth the words. If you feel the need t act macho, come back to me when you get to 64. 'Til then, you are but a boy in my eyes.

God bless, DJ MARK.

My god quit the squabbling!!!

There is a sense of truth in what both of you are saying. Sustained running on roads when wearing incorrect trainers can lead to injury and is definately not advised if you already have a joint injury. Running on grass reduces the impact on your joints (basically acting as the cushioning that a good trainer will provide). But running on grass has its own hazards as you can easily twist your ankle in a divet.

Both have advantages, both disadvantages and it's quite acceptable to do either!

Not what he said, which I poined out to him and he took offence to.

Also, I think the ''squabble'' was pretty much run into the ground anyway.

LOL! ''grammer'' eh?

Oh that wouldn't be like you; being difficult, would it now? :P

As much as it seems I might, I don't. But when I can't make sense of sentences because someone is just plain too lazy, I feel the need to mention it. I read his comment in a hurry and it had like a million (slang hyperbole; actually about 25-30ish) asterix's in it. Hence, my comment.

Now you, don't you start - or you'll be the one getting a slapping

I never said running on grass helps to eradicate shin splints that would just be stupid. I have been arguing that running on grass helps prevent shin splints in the first place thus being the best terrain to run on. I would not mention how to eradicate shin splint because i have never had them and so have no advice to offer on how to get rid off them.

Also I havnt once said that the type of training shoes you wear doesnt matter. What i will say on this though is that trainers can only do so much for you.

Something else I have just remembered for anybody doing runs that involves laps. We were told to run the opposite way each different time you go so that the strain from turning the same way is balanced out on both legs. Again mr no it all may say this is complete rubbish but just though id mention it so people have the chance to atleast consider it.

Is the provocation really neccersary (i couldn't give a flying d*** if i've spelt that wrong!)? If you've got advice, then just say it....

Reply 56

sorry but it gets a bit tiresome when you try and offer advice that you have recently been told and somebody throws it back in your face just because they are bored on a saturday night and have nothing better to do than argue with you.

As for whether you spelt that properly i couldnt give a **** either i have got better things to do than have a go at some one for spelling incorrectly.

Out of interest, what does the bleep test go up to? I heard it was 18 or 20, and that professional athletes are expected to finish it?

Reply 58

rise above it! just let your posts 'speak' for themselves, as it were... if someone is being a nob, people will be able to see that from there posts...

(just having horrible flash backs of the asthma/aircrew argument grr!)
