Sorry no....but why are you having trouble with your application? just your references?
I may sound silly and I really don't want to offend but what does the course entail - it just doesn't sound very 'thrilling' to me...please can you enlighten me? lol

P.S. Although this is a Manchester course, have you tried the Postgraduate forum?

Hi Jo

I applied for the MA in Applied Social Research (probably the nearest course, minus the advanced stats!) in May and got an offer in early-mid June, so it seems they still have places available. I'd been advised that they'd accept applications until August; if you send off your application form/submit an application online, stating that references will follow, they will at least know you're interested asap. By contrast, Cardiff had filled their places by the time I came to apply; thankfully, the excellent course at Manchester was my first choice.

hiya, i know it doesn't sound very thrilling but i want to do it cause its based around quantitative research methods, its quite mathematical !!!! I have just done an MSc in HR at Manchester and for my research training in that i had to do SPSS and that scared me !!!!!! :frown: so i will be choosing all the really difficult modules, i just wanna build my confidence in this area ang get loads more experience in it/statistics.....i think it will be very useful....heres hoping.

my application went in to them in june so i am still hopeful and ppl have replied and i have been told that they will be getting back to me as a matter of urgency but i haven't heard anything.

this is very very strange- i have been given a conditional offer based on getting a 2.2 but i got a 2.1. in 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now they say its conditional on me passing my MSc, i have passed everything to date (quite well) but i don't hand my dissertation in until 8th september so i won't know the final result of this until november????

this is all very strange!!!!!!
