Biomedical BSC

I'm currently studying maths chemistry biology and physics at As level, and i am starting to think about uni. I want to go into a career in which involves working with virus and disease in order to eradicate them, such as what the centre for disease control does in america. I am unsure of where i should do biomedical BSc and then transfer to immunology after the first year or if i should find a place that does pathology BSc. Do you know what i should do, and also which universities are the best for the subject i want to do? Any help appreciated
I'm pretty sure you need a medical degree to do pathology.

However - I am currently a 3rd year Biomedical Sciences student & on placement within a pathology laboratory if that helps any. This is an option for when you graduate.
