FIRSTLY LET ME START OF THIS ISN'T AIMED AT ALL WOMEN.
Secondly I see myself as a male feminist in the sense there should be complete gender equality, without a gender bias whether it be socially, politically or economically.

fem·i·nism
noun: feminism
1. the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

Looking at the definition of feminism it would suggest that preferential favoritism based on the grounds of gender would be sexist; i.e,. the "a real man would..." and "gentleman" ideologies.
So would someone who truly understood the concept of feminism abhor such old fashioned beliefs?
Can women really have their cake and eat it? (I'm aware this can be applied to men also)

Thoughts?
