AS English Literature B Coursework HELP!!!

Hey! So I'm trying to do my English coursework on the Importance of Being Earnest, but I don't really like my essay for the question I was originally gonna use, it feels too much like a running commentary. Any ideas?

Also, my teacher told my class that for AO3 it's important to discuss different adaptations of the play, so like the different film versions and to talk about the differences and similarities etc. BUT I think this sounds completely irrelevant and I've been told that he's meant to be teaching us the different critical perspectives (Marxism, feminism) for AO3... Is that right???

Any help would REALLY be appreciated! Thanks!
I didn't do being earnest but I am all too familiar with those annoying assessment objectives, AO3 is split into two parts: drawing connections and giving different interpretations. Do this for every essay! Give your opinion backed up with evidence and quotation but then say "However I recognise that some readers will have the interpretation that...."
