My girlfriend and I were in Oxford last year and while wandering around, we ended up in a Chinese restaurant called SoJo. Have to say that it was extremely good, better than virtually every Chinese restaurant I've been too at home in London.
My BF took me to Browns, was very nice

Brown's is a good shout (quite posh).
Quod is very central and very posh.
Pierre Victoire on Little Clarendon Street is very very good French (v near Browns and food a bit better).
Turf Tavern very good pub food (much better than King's Arms). But it's hard to find.
I'd go Pierre.
