You can meet new people just about anywhere at university, like UCL, library, street all across Warren Street/Euston/Bloomsbury like cafes, even in the street. Its down to the individual though and how comfortable they feel in striking up a conversation. Personally i would talk to anyone, approaching someone in the SU or anywhere is on campus is easy. Think about it, the major obstacle is approaching that person in the first place. You see a guy or a girl you like, why not make an approach. If you don't, you may have lost the opportunity of happiness. If you don't ask you don't get! Rejection shouldn't be a fear, not trying and letting something pass should be.

Guys your age are incredibly shy well a heck of lot of them are. You have a lot of admirers, they are just working out how to approach you. To be fair, I was the same when I first when to university. I can remember 1 year at Soton ordering flowers and a bear to a girl i liked in halls to be couriered to her. I looked such an idiot and that took weeks of thinking whether or not to make a move. Give it time your little admirers will come out.

Yeah, Wednesday night is student night here (cheap drinks!) and Friday and Saturday night are, well, Friday and Saturday night! There tends to be bits a pieces on on a Thursday like pub quizzes and karaoke nights and stuff (which are good to laugh at) but Wednesdays tend to be heavy so I prefer to give Thursdays a miss.

It's only because I have a friend here from France on an internship so we're making the most of what we can before she goes home, once she's gone it'll be time for a good detox and back down to one or two nights out a week! Haha


Wednesday is a big student night where I am too, I used to soldier it on to the Thursday night as well!

Haha i'd love to see you attempt to do a detox! Old habits.. and all!:biggrin:

I'm looking some dating sites too. Need it very badly.
Tinder is quite nice but will met lots of guys just asking for have a sex.

Hmm that's true. A lot of girls string along guys though. The guy has no idea and then gets friend-zoned. Ends up crushed!

I'd say on the whole (generalising here) that it's easier for girls to find someone as opposed to guys.
