All the time, can't revise properly without it

Normally ambient stuff like Burial or Aphex Twin, but sometimes progress to Liquid DNB or even full on DNB or hip hop :|

Nope, music just serves as a massive distraction.

One thing I've noticed is that nobody I know or knew that did well in their exams (ie top marks) listened to music while revising. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but it's interesting.

only when doing questions do i listen to music - acts also as a timer (i know the length of the songs!)

but when learning from a book etc; i work in complete silence.

Yeah, it may make the quality of my revision worse but it stops me from going off and doing something else.

Usually I do but if it's something I really need to understand properly or haven't learnt before the music goes off

I don't know how I would have gotten through those endless hours of revision for my A2 exams without music. need something to entertain you while you're suffering.

I do very occasionally if there are a lot of people around me so I only get distracted by the music and nothing else, but that's about it! It's the same in bed, I listen to music occasionally to stop me thinking about other things but I could never actually go to sleep with it on

There's no way I can sleep with the music on, I'd get no sleep!

However music does help with some things, like posting on CTAM thread or other threads on TSR

Haha, I frequently find myself listrning to music while going to sleep and regularly find myself falling asleep with headphones in :ninja:

I have a special bedtime playlist now, with stuff like Burial, Jmaes Blake and Jon Hopkins and it always helps me get to sleep, probably cos it's so chilled out
