Make little cards on each of the topics and learn them

Make lists of the dates and ask someone to test you

I made a big timeline for my History development study and revision cards for my in depth study.
Remember that History also has a lot to do with exam technique, so maybe answer questions from past papers and get your teacher to mark them

Hi! I did AQA History last year and I found that doing a colourful chart of all the key points and dates for each topic was quite helpful.

Also I made some flash cards on Quizlet which is really good to learn the dates better. I'll leave some links to the sets I made, if they're relevant feel free to use them. If not it might be a good idea to sign up and make your own sets, I find its really effective for all sorts of revision.

I did OCR GCSE History last year and got an A* overall and this is what I did:

I did Medicine Through Time and American West so for both of them I made a timeline of the important dates and what happened. I kept it brief without too much detail then put both of them on my bedroom wall.

I also made flashcards with detailed events and key people on them that I kept going over.

Finally, when I'd revised all the content I began to attempt past paper questions. This is important as it can help you get a feel for the exam and what each question requires in terms of knowledge and technique.

Good luck!
