dont want to sleep

this is pretty random, but do any of you feel like there's no point in sleeping? is it unhealthy to think this? like i really can't be bothered to go sleep- when i do i'll sleep till 1.30 pm the next day...but its at this time of day i feel most awake- also, do some of you go to sleep reasonably happy, then just wake up feeling crap and depressed lots of the time? - hence no point in going to sleep. :frown:

I think any answers you receive at 2.20 am will probably agree with you. :wink:

But yeah I see your point, it's a bit of a waste of time when you're doing stuff and only go to bed because you're "meant to".

Have you tried working incredibly hard? I'm sure you have had a situation where you cannot wait until you snuggle up under your covers and close your eyes?

The body needs rest in order to function properly. Hence the need for sleep. Yet I am up at 3.06am.

I never have had to have a lot of sleep, i know its unhealthy but i cant help it, i will wake up after only have 4,5 hours sleep most night. Have the odd ocasion. I feel most awake either late at night or early morning. I dont think its a problem really

just keep awake for as long you want...soon you will fall asleep!!!
its reasonable to think this, just as it is to be jealous of birds because we can't fly! It is a natural flaw of evolution that we need sleep at all, surely it would benefit us if our brains could just keep on going. Unintelligent design, eh?

yeah, its just holiday mode i think. i dont do much during the day anyway, so i might as well sleep some of it away.

I think, if the OP is like me, it's more a case of not wanting to GO TO sleep, rather than not wanting to sleep. The two cases are similar, but not exactly the same.

The irony.
i love sleep. i love being alseep. i love dreaming. i love my bed. i spend all day at work eagerly anticipating the time when i can next go to sleep. if i haven't slept enough i'm incredibly moody and not a very nice person to be around. and more than anything, i hate waking up and having to get out of bed.
i like sleeping in the sense that i can just get away from all my day-to-day problems such as family moaning...but then i think i could get a lot more done if i didn't sleep :p:
