I have been looking into universities and have been drawn to Brighton as I would like to study fashion and am extremely passionate about achieving within this career and industry.
The only issue I have is I would have to move away from home as it is far from where I live.
I can get the tuition loan to pay for my course and a maintenance loan although my accomodation will cost £5,384 a year but I can only get a loan for £5,150 as my parents income is slightly higher than average.
My parents have there own business which can be very unbalanced in wages from one week to another so I don't think I can afford this, but is there anyway I can get more help as I really want to go to this uni and think it is the best choice for me.
The government site is saying because my parents income I can't get another loan..
Please help.

Hi Maddison97

First off, don't panic. Lots of other people are in a similar position and there are ways of getting help, that might be in the form of advice or bursaries.

The University of Brighton offers a number of bursaries - it depends on your circumstances but you may be eligible for one of them. Take a look here.

The Student Support fund is also open to current students who have financial difficulties http://www.brighton.ac.uk/studentlif...-support-fund/
You can't access this before you arrive but you can apply later if you need to - a student finance advisor here can help you to fill in the forms too.

I would recommend giving one of our student finance advisors a call - they are very friendly and helpful and will be able to advise you on your exact situation and offer lots of tips and info. You don't have to wait unit you are studying here to contact them. Here are their contact details http://www.brighton.ac.uk/moneymatte...dent-services/

The uni money matters page has lots of useful info too.

I hope this helps!
