Reccomend a film...

I usually end up watching a film come 11pm... what's everyone suggest?

I am pretty easily pleased and will watch anything.

So if you were to recommend just one film to anyone, what would it be?

Mine is True Romance. Great film.

I do genuinely quite like The Notebook. True Romance isn't pure romance though if you were figuring me as a chickflick guy.

Umm, I wouldn't even know what to call it...

Films like Pulp Fiction, True Romance, The Mexican... are they even the same genre?

Are you serious? That movie is complete garbage, I turned it off after the first 10 minutes.

Various of these are quite disturbing but also very thought provoking and beautiful.
Anything directed by Michael Haneke basically, particularly: The Seventh Continent, Funny Games, Cache, Amour, The Piano Teacher. Apparently The White Ribbon is also really good but haven't watched that.
Also by a different director: Requiem for a Dream.
I also thought Atonement was a very beautiful film.
Also Stranger than Fiction is an interesting one

Just had a quick scan at what some of them are about, and they're definitely something I would watch. I like all kinds of films, but definitely enjoy something that makes you think a little deeper than usual too. I always find films based around war time interesting, I think someone has suggested The White Ribbon to me before. Thanks

If you're into foreign films, Life is Beautiful is a good one

I watched Mr and Mrs Smith the other night, was on tv.

I have seen Silence of the Lambs, but not for years. I'll watch anything with Anthony Hopkins in.

I saw a great film a little while back with him and Wentworth Miller in, where he was a black man with fair skin, and pretended he was Jewish so he could be successful. I'm rubbish at remembering film names though...
