It's incredibly normal to have labia a different length. It's like faces: they're never completely symmetrical in real life.

Have a look at that tumblr.

I have found alot of the comments on this forum extremely helpful as i have researched about large labia. Yes, i do have large labia minora and i am extremely self concious about this! Alot of comments seem to be positive and that is a great boost for me as i am only 18 and find the idea of someone seeing that below area a big turn off.. I cant seem to understand how someone could find this attractive? I would love to be able to embrace my insecurities but i feel that the porn industry had created unreal expectations of women and their bodies for young men. I would really appreciate feedback on how people feel about womens labia! It would be particularly appreciated from younger men but all comments and feedback are really appreciated.. Thank you!
Hi, i'm the op

Since I posted in this forum (it's been a while!) I have had sex with two people and neither of them were bothered. In fact, I asked both of them if it was a problem for them (afterwards!) and both said absolutely not. One even said he prefers long labia. Hope this helps you. I know what it feels like to be self-conscious!

Girls who have prominent labia are lucky. Assuming they're sensitive, an erogenous zone, it means they'll enjoy sex more than girls who aren't blessed that way. Any guy who isn't completely ignorant will be grateful for that. For oral especially, they'll love you all the more for being made that way.

So brilliant illustrations to bring your post to life. But you're bonkers. Guys don't feel repulsed by labia. They're part and parcel of their favourite play thing.
if you want to show me I will soon have that licked. truth is, no one will care if they are getting laid. just do it with someone you trust
Doesn't worry me either way. Porn shows us idealised images of men and women and idealised sex. Woman with small, tucked-in labia are all over the internet but the average woman is simply not like that. Small and pert parts are, frankly, a little child like and that would disturb me (personally) more than what you describe. It's easy to say 'we are all different' but we really are.
You can go on the offensive though: when you are intimate with someone then you can start out with the lights out - you don't have to parade around naked showing your bits. This might give you some confidence. You might also consider that the bloke is going to be concerned that he is big enough and impressive enough for you ... so you both might be a bit nervous of the other's reaction.
As for colour? It varies from the palest white to really dark and means nothing. It's just pigment. You'll see willies of different colours too ... on white men.
Anybody who takes the mickey simply is not worth the time and - frankly - he will be so horny he won't care anyway.
Your doctor ... maybe she was trying to be casual and just got it wrong but it does sound a little less than sympathetic. She acknowledged that they are large (and has seen a few) but ... then again ... there is a bloke out there who will really, really like this part of you. And I mean really. As someone else said ... check out Tumblr.
If you violently dislike them then tell your doctor: you can have surgery but there may be risks, waiting lists etc etc.
Chin up: you sound lovely in every respect.
I'm the same, I really don't think I can bring myself to be intimate with a guy like what if they go down there and they're actually so weirded out??? Labiaplasty Costs a fortune but I'm saving up for it.

Provided a man is (i) male and (ii) straight, he'll love the way you look down there. Don't change anything!

That's awesome  It does help, thanks for sharing!! I have larger labia too... It doesn't cause physical discomfort at all except maybe riding a bike is slightly annoying but not really. I never ride bikes anyways. I've had it sticking out ever since childhood, and it became a serious insecurity in college when I started hearing guys make fun of girls who had it, calling it roast beef, mutilated hamburger meat, chewed up bubblegum, really graphic gross ideas and assumed it had to do with sleeping around... I think saying it out loud and actually talking to guys and realizing people 1on1 are a lot more accepting of flaws helped a lot. It's an ongoing effort, but I'm a lot more confident. Personally, I like how it looks! I just didn't like that guys don't like it. Anyways thanks again

I don't think that some guys making jokes about large labia means that guys don't like them that way. More likely, boys who haven't even had sex joke about girls' bits so they seem cool. In fact, I think guys are more likely to be turned on by you having fuller lips. After all, they're a very sensitive part of the body, so guys get a lot of pleasure from caressing, licking or nibbling them during sex.

you are prob right. people just get carried away around their friends. thanks for saying that. i'm also a virgin, nothing i did made them stick out so it can be frustrating to hear it be associated with sleeping around.

as long as its not a turn off i am content. no one is perfect. besides, it's just like having fuller lips on our faces, no? my face lips are full too  they're definitely more sensitive. i can orgasm very easily and strongly. i wanted to get labiaplasty but i wouldnt want to risk being the unlucky one who loses sensation, because that just sounds miserable.

Definitely don't have the op. Guys will enjoy you being sensitive down there and having good orgasms easily at least as much as you do. Stay as nature intended and you'll be very popular with the guys 😉

You're welcome . No, I wouldn't bring it up at all. To 99% of men, you're beautiful down there. So no need to worry them unnecessarily. Much more important to shave or wax, I'd say.

Oh my.. You don't worry I am a guy and we find it funny, but not disgusting.
Big flaps are sexy imho i find them a turn on. Love lady cream too.
Some parts of the world young girls are told: 'pull them every night to make them longer; if you don't you wont get a man'.

Just don't worry!
