How can I do a case study on this experiment?

I am doing A level physics coursework and have chosen to experiment how the resistance of a nichrome wire changes with regards to it's length.

I have no idea how I can do a case study on something such as this? My teacher suggested the national grid, but again, I have no idea how that has any relevance to this...

A case study is a different thing to an experiment - perhaps your teacher is suggesting you use some real world application of the physics principles involved in the summary to your report.
