Was my 21st on saturday. Went to london with a few friends. Ended up getting hammered and well how can i put this....had sex with a prostitute!!

Ive been in a monogamous relationship for about 6 months. I told her yesterday about it and she is insisting that i get checked up for STD's. I did use protection and told her it would be a waste of time. Is it worth getting checked up?

Welllll, let's have a quick lookie here shall we?

You sleep with a hooker.
You tell your partner you've done so.
She doesn't totally kick your ass (which she would have been within her rights to do) but rather makes the suggestion that you go and get checked for STDs... because, ya know, the hooker might well not quite have been a virgin (I'm going out on a limb here).
And you... you ask if it's a waste of time??

Even if you don't have anything, it's the absolute least you can do to reassure your partner that (although you might be a bit of a ******) you aren't going to infect her with whatever she is worried you might have.

Some people.

Although the chances that you contracted are fairly low its the least you should do for being a ******

while the subject of checking up is releveant to me, what are the chances of contracting if you have slept with an infected person but have used protection?? im a paranoid so so ATM

Yeah, do it. And anything else she asks you to do for at least the next couple of months.

Make that an year.
I'm suprised your g/f stuck by you after that, i would get checked out if i were you.
Ok, now off the "omgz u cheated!!" line:

Yes, you should do it, even if your girlfriend doesn't care. Condoms are "99%" guaranteed not to get a woman pregnant - hence, 99% guaranteed not to swap fluids, and also 99% guaranteed not to get you potentially infected with a sexually transmitted disease. That means there is a 1 in 100 chance you have swapped fluids... assuming the condom wasn't ripped to start off with. And you were drunk, so god knows. Moreover, you don't know how likely she is to have one, or more. I'd get checked out anyway.

Hey man, the least you can do is reassure your boyfriend that you don't have any STDs.

It's the very least you can do for her. I can't believe you're even asking to be honest!
