I'd imagine it's hard to say, because the level and intensity of UV from a sunbed is different to that of the sun

Why do you ask?

I refuse to go on a sunbed after seeing Final Destination 3! :p:

Have you used one before? I dont recommend going for 10 mins unless you are used to them, and especially if you have pale skin- you will just go red.

Apparantly 20 mins on a sunbed= 4 hours in the sun.

two girls get trapped in a sunbed, and it catches fire (I think at least) and they burn to death. but it's really graphic and you can see everything. it's not nice

I thought the same when I saw it! Although I wouldn't go on a sunbed anyway...
Yet the way that it actually happened in the film is highly unlikely to happen in reality, however there has been a woman who got badly burnt after the safety glass cracked (allowing full UV exposure).

Haha, no, they were in separate sunbeds, but in the same room. One of the girls left her drink on the side and spilled onto the box that determines the heat of the beds or something  Then a shelf falls and gets trapped between the two beds so neither girls can open them... the sunbeds get far too hot and whilst the girls struggle, they get badly burnt and the beds catch fire... nasty death :p:

As with everyone else I agree that it depends on the voltage and UV the sunbed provides

Dont use sun beds!!! A fake tan is better as it wont give you cancer!
I say that in a careing way!

Also and I am not trying to be rude, but the amount of effort some girls go to to get a tan is completely mad. As much as a nice tan can look good, guys are not that fussy and most would much rather you got it lying with them on a beach

Erm that wasnt my suggestion, although im sure a guy wouldnt complain!

As a guy, when i see someone or hear of someone who has gone to such efforts to get a tan then you really jus think 'mad'!!

I admit some do look better with one, but is it worth risking your long term health?

As some people have mentioned already, it really depends on the voltage etc. Some can be as much as 1 min = 1 hour in the sun.

I know this having worked reception in a sunbed shop (sooo boring) and they make you take a training course thing (although they don't seem to care that you actually remembered anything - just that you were there while they talked at you). zzzz. Think of the longterm effects - wrinkles (or worse!) anyone??
