Cover them in greek yoghurt or honey.

Find the mosquito and bite it back (or bite its back). That can keep you occupied for a while (saving you from scratching) and, in terms of eye-for-an-eye, its a religiously sound medical practice.

Tea Tree Oil is good for bites but dont itch as it just gets worse.

I've got soo many at the mo. Stick some bite and sting cream on.

Get an antihistamiine cream like anthisan or benadryl
in the short term ice might help
there are also small devices you can get from boots which apply a small electric shock to the bite and stop the itching. They work really well.

Best method is not to get bitten.
At night stay inside, and only have lights on if all your windows are closed.
I haven't had bites for weeks now.
The more you scratch the worse they get, just leave them be and after a day they will be fairly tame.

i thought this was going to be a thread about small breasts! lol

Ammonia is what's found in most afterbite solutions. Apply generous quantities of this (can be found on supermarket shelves) to your bites and put an ice pack on.
Depending if you're sure they were mosquitoe bites, rather than pine fly, etc. you won't need antihistamine cream. However it is worth investing in a tube of sinalar all the same.

Autan, stick, spray, liquid are the solutoins not to be bitten in the first place. All are sold in supermarkets on the meditteranean.

When I was bitten recently, I put some toothpaste on it which soothed it.

On a recent holiday to Turkey I got (yes I'm sad and I counted) 112 bites...87 of which were on one leg. I bought some afterbite which was expensive but seemed 2 do the job - but cos I get irritated with the itching, I still have scabs/scars where some of the bites were...soooo not a good look!

Reply 13

Just scratch them, who cares. They go away anyway and scratching them feels good, so meh.

Yeah I came back from the med a week ago, I only got a few mosquito bites whilst I was out there, but the day or two after I came back I suddenly had loads! Don't itch them though, I itched one on my arm until it bled, and it just looks even worse!

I've found antihistamine the best relief.
You can also avoid bites through keeping lights off when windows are open in the evening. I've also found drinking cola works wonders... 5 mosquitoes in my room (uncatchable) - and I've been bite-free this whole summer!
