he said he likes me but i don't know...

ok. well i went to a party this weekend and the one i like was there too.
i didn't speak to him straight away at first; we just kept looking over at each other and smiling. later on i did start to speak to him but after a while i didnt know where he was so i texted him asking him where he'd go and he told me he was at the back of the house and said come over. well i did and when i got there a couple of his mates were there and started teasing us and said 'better give these some alone time' and ran off. so we started walking for a bit and he mentioned us meeting up in the summer hols.

once he left the party i texted him saying i really liked him. and he replied back saying 'i like you' and that was all it said basically. well i dunno. something seems a bit strnage and im not sure whether he really does like me. because iv texted him since and he hasnt replied back etc. i dont know whether im just being paranoid...

well what i want to know is what you think, and if guys won't say this unless they mean it?

If he says he likes you, take his word for it until he says otherwise. It's easy to get paranoid about it but you should try to remain positive.

In my opinion it's much easier to just see what happens and take it from there. It seems a little early to be getting worked up. You've made the first move in texting him, so I'd wait for him to reply. If you continually text him he's going to think he's got the beginnings of a stalker on his hands.
