On the implant and period was due today?
I got the Nexplanon contraceptive implant inserted three days ago, and my period is due today. I know some people don't get bleeding or periods with the implant, but since I only had the implant inserted three days ago I thought I would have gotten it regardless due to tissue needing to shed or something? Do you reckon it's normal that it hasn't shown up? My periods are usually regular to the day. Is hormone imbalance likely to be throwing it off at this early stage?
I reckon it probably is due to the implant - I'm on my second one and I rarely have any periods at all, maybe 2-3 a year at completely random intervals.
If you think there is a chance you could be pregnant though, ALWAYS do a test or see your GP...better safe than sorry, eh?
