Depends how they treated it. If they said it was okay to put water on it then run cold water over it [be careful though because it depends how bad the burn is] if they told you not to then obviously don't. If you can't get it wet then do something like wrapping a bag of frozen peas in kitchen roll and holding it against it [again, depends on how bad the burn is]
If it's a bad, open/burst-blister burn then you can't do either of those really so just fan it with cold air. That should help a little.

Be careful if it's an open burn! If it's just red and sore then go ahead with the frozen stuff but if it's blistered or burst then stick to fanning it to just cool it down. You don't want to be getting an infection.

No problem I've always been clumsy and doing a GCSE catering course led to a lot of burns :P

i am in the middle of a very important independent lab for IB, and it was a Pepsin solution with a very high concentration and the Ph was about 3..
i was heating it up in one beaker and cooling it in another, and as i poured the hot pepsin into the waste bucket.. ouch

Add acid to water not water to acid. I paid attention in labs. :ahee:

Anyway, to answer the question, just stick some ice cubes on it and you'll be good to go. Wear better gloves next time maybe?

You don't use an acid when doing biuret's test. Are you sure it wasn't a strong alkali?

It should be fine to run lots of water on it however (as long as it was a liquid you were using, not a powder).

pH 3? That wouldn't be so dilute you couldn't even feel it. That's got a lower H+ concentration than lemon juice!
