shall i ban you?
Yeah, I know what you mean! I was gonna post that same thread yesterday morning but this is what I did instead. I've been trying to cut back - try this:

You click at the "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread which interests you and where you post all the time (e.g. Neighbours, etc), click "Subscribe". Do this to all your "vital" threads (I had 7 of those, plus 3 my threads, plus 4 where I posted recently). Then when you log in, click "Control Panel" and it will show you which of those threads have been updated. If not, I close the website. If yes, I read the new comments and answer them if I feel like it. Twice a day (like now) I allow myself to browse all forums and read everything - this SUCKS because it's warm and sunny and I have friends and I'm on holiday, but I sit here and read about someone who's pregnant whilst it has nothing to do with and I won't have to deal with it till I'm married...

So yeah, try this. I always despised people who are addicted to internet, and now I'm one of them... Good luck!

I'd honestly ask you to ban me, but I help a lot of people in academic section and also I'd be coming anyway, without loging in... So don't ban me :p: I'll have to deal with it myself...

Yeah it is.....but you know what i mean.

Just relieves serious boredom.
I wish I could be one of those seriously productive people who turned all my boredom into genius though......Instead of arsing around on here, pleasant though it is

I am not yet addicted to the forum, but I like the way you can ask the admin/moderators to ban or suspend you for a set time period for your revision. I might be coming on here a lot more now I am going on to further education and if it ever did start taking over where I couldn't work etc I'd consider a banning for a few hours a day if it was possible.

Yeah...i could invent something with all the time i spend on here. I could read enough to get through my English Literature degree....sadly, i just can't be bothered.

Well there is always a way around that even if your not able to post. Just delete your internet cache and you should still be able to view the threads in this forum - which is as stimulating as participating in the thread!

Ouch.. I'm a new member, maybe I should run while I still can?

Maybe it'll will wear off, like my Neighbours addiction..

Good luck anyway, be strong!
