To be honest, it doesn't really matter what you're drinking. IMO you can't really go wrong with cider, it seems to be a drink that most people enjoy. If you're having a load of people over, tell them to bring whatever they want to drink, or just ask what everyone prefers. From experience, people will bring their own stuff if you ask them to. Everything gets drunk eventually and you'll all turn up to the actual party off your faces. Have fun!
