Depends on the optician, I'd guess. Phone them up in advance anyway, to make sure whether you have to make an appointment... normally you do, you can't just turn up. :smile: Any optician's is good, as long as it's a fairly well known one.

I had nothing wrong with my eyes, and went to Vision Express for my free eye check. I don't see why you would have to go to the doctor's unless you had a serious problem, and if you're still in f.t. education and under 18, the eye test is free at any place, so Boots, Specsavers, Vision Express etc. All you need to do is ring or go in and book an appointment, and you get a free test, which tells you if you have anything wrong at all, which I didn't!
