What courses would you apply for if you didn't have to worry about employment?

As the title says- what course would you take if getting a job after uni wasn't an issue? It doesn't have to be a real course, you can make it up.
And what course are you taking/considering taking now?

Just curious as to what differences there may be if employment isn't a factor.

I'll start:
Course I'm considering now: Medicine
Course I would take: Chemistry with Korean and Japanese Studies

Kids of rich parents don't count. I knew a girl who took drama and acting course, graduated with debts, could not find any job, and is recently taking some evening course, learning Photoshop, while living with her parents. It would have been nice though, to learn something you really like for yourself, as opposed to what will bring you the best job/income. Maybe the thread should be called "What courses would you apply for, if you didn't have to worry about employment"?

I wouldn't change mine, I'm terrible at practical things nor remembering vast quantities of information so I would not be good at any vocational courses.

Taking: Combined Honours in History and Biological Sciences.

Would take: the exact same.

I'll be happy so I'm not bothered whether people think it's "useless" or not.

Useless? In what land is biology useless? Or history for that matter?

Oh trust me, the amount of times I've heard it  I guess TSR in no way represents the most accurate of opinions though.

Like Changing Skies, I have applied for German and History and would take exactly the same combination of subjects. I've always liked them both so why ever not?

I'd probably continue doing the exact same as I am now (Ancient History)- As I wanted to do it since I was 8 and nothing like a viable job market was going to dissuade me :-) Also, combined with good work experience it's as good a degree as any for the career I want to enter.

I might continue to do a PHD if I had enough funds though. As is, I don't see that happening.

I'm with you. I'm going to study Italian, regardless of what others opinions are. Also, how did you change your username!?

Studied: German and Spanish (didn't finish but loved it)

Planning on studying: Medicine

Would study: Architecture, Music or some more languages, eg Japanese. Would probably love to try going to one of the big drama schools too.
