I quite like Angela Merkel.

She appears to be highly competent with regards to domestic management but also a good leader who along with the ECB and IMF has effectively forced austerity the German export model onto other economies via 'internal devaluation' because as unemployment has risen business has had to seek opportunities abroad and in addition labour costs have dropped sharply enabling them to be more competitive. Spain is a stark example of this, an economy which has run massive trade deficits for decades now has surging exports. Moreover though, she has effectively made herself the de facto leader of Europe.

To me she represents the combination of strength of leadership and broad competence not seen since Thatcher in the UK, one imagines they would get on very well.

Fredrik Reinfeldt is a good one, way better than David Cameron.

Angela Merkel is an excellent one but I think she lacks charisma.

In terms of an absolute best as terms of a manager then it would be none other than Lee Hsien Loong, PM of Singapore.... granted I'll give it that he may not perform as well in a place that isn't a city state.
