It could just be that you are peeling a bit. Your skin does that sometimes, i wouldn't worry about it too much. However if it keeps on for a period of time then i would advise seeing a doctor.

I have this at the moment, too. I think it is a result of handling paper all day (working in an office). Moisturising didn't seem to help so I suggest toughing it out in the hope that your skin will develop a natural tolerance.

Do you play the guitar?

Mine are doing this too, on both my index fingers and thumbs.. think they're healing now though, atleast I hope.. the other day one on my thumb kinda developed into a full blown crack and started bleeding.. have no idea why they're like it...

my fingers r pealing aswell at the moment! just done my duke of edinburgh the other week and it started after that. not really sure y its happened but my mum said something earlier about it being because of the heat and something about sweat? before you go to bed try putting alot of vaseline on them, its normally good for things like that.

Over the last few days, the skin on the tips of some of my fingers is peeling. Its really thin skin and just doesn't look very good. The same is happening to the back of one of my ear lobes and is kinda itcy. I don't want to go hassle a doctor for something as trivial as this, any tips anyone?

URHG yeah I had peeling fingertips a couple of weeks ago! It was my right hand, index finger. Because I use a laptop with a touchpad, I'm always using that finger and I think it made the skin peel and it BUGGED me cause I HATE peeling skin.

Rub sugar in your hands from time to time, concentrating on the peeling bit. Then wash it off. Do this a few times over a few days. Also if you have a pumice stone, rub your finger on it for a minute or two. I did that and the peeling eventually effed off!

After sugar/pumice stone, moisturize! Or BABY OIL! Works wonders

I have this sometimes on my fingers. Just moisturise - your skin is getting too dry, especially in this heat.
