Statistics help needed!! - Degree levelWatch
I am using lichens as indicators for Nitrogen pollution and trying to find out if nitrogen pollution decreases as you get further away from the centre of the town I live in.
My Independent Variable is 'Distance from town centre' (of 5 sampling sites) and my Dependent Variable is 'NAQI (Nitrogen Air Quality Index) - this is a score between -2 and 2 that indicates how much nitrogen is present in the atmosphere.
So I have 5 y-values and 5 x-values.
I have done a linear regression analysis and found that there is no significant trend between the two variables.
So instead, I want to see if there is any difference between the NAQI scores at each site.
What statistical test do I need to do for this? I was thinking a One-Way ANOVA test but I'm not sure?
Any help would be much appreciated!
