Height important to girls?

How important is the height of a guy to you, when considering whether to go out with him? Is it compulsory for him to be taller than you, or do you feel there can be exceptions?

Thats the response I always get too, I however am on the short side. I'm just inquisitive though as to whether they simply find height to be a convenient, not too offensive way to reject me.

Usually I like my men on the tall side. I'm fairly tall myself so it's always nice to have someone taller than you. I did, however, have a brief fling with someone who was shorter than me. I felt like a proper tit.

Generally speaking I would rather a bloke was taller than me, one of the reasons being that I would feel more comfortable wearing heels around them. Although its not like a major thing if he isn't I suppose, I mean if I really like them I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor but to be honest I'm pretty short so I think it would be pretty rare to find many blokes shorter than me. My bf is only a tiny bit taller than me.

Height is certainly a factor, but it is only one of a number of factors which can create attraction. If you are short improve yourself in other ways which can make up for your lack of height. There are plenty of shorter guys with nice girls so I would not say it was the end of the world. Out of interest how tall are you?

Sometimes though it is really annoying being so tall, cos you have to look down at loads of girls when you talk - hurts the neck. I wish I was shorter personally.

But yes back to the point, it is important - gives a guy presence. But saying that, if you are tall you have to have a bit of meat on you, no good being tall and lanky like Peter Crouch! :p:

Can any of the taller girls name one of the qualities that could be seen as a substitution for being taller? After all its not as if tall guys have no good qualities except their height.

Totally. I'm 5'10 too and there is no way I'd date a guy shorter than me.

My ideal is 6'2, but I'd be willing to go down to 5'10/5'11 and just avoid heels.
