I've got some homework that i do not fully understand, can someone explain breakeven to me? i have a question that makes 0 sense, thanks in advance

Break even is the point where you do not make a loss, neither will a company be making a profit. Breakeven has a forumla that you can also use.

When busineseses go past breakeven, then this is called the margin of safety, they will be in a profit.
