It's a bit more than 15 mins, try double that, but it sounds a fab location.

weigh up how much you feel you could intergrate with those in uni accommodation and get yourself a social life, and then start thinking if you want to live there.

I'm sure by term 2 you'll have friends wanting to kip at yours after a clubbing session..

the guys im sharing with said 15mins, but hey i don,t mind half an hour. im a pretty sociable girl in general, im thinking il survive, i can,t w8 to be so near to the nightlife of brighton!

you're a girl  I saw charles in the name and assumed you were a guy! Oops!

Anyway, I doubt you'll be an outsider at all! I'm doing Psychology too and would love to know someone living in Brighton - you'll have loads of people wanting to be your friend when they realise how little effort it is to go back to yours after a night out! :p:

Its more like 15 minutes if your in the only vehicle on the road, and the bus only stops at the uni.
I lived in a house in my first year because I applied too late for accomodation. My social life was rather crap and I really didnt feel I had integrated well with other students at all and missed out on a lot. Now I have left that university and I'm going to Sussex in Sept, and I definitely want to live on campus this year.
In the end its what you make it though.

i chose to live off campus mainly cos it was the only option for a im doing foundation year in crawley:indiff:

so im staying in brighton with two mates. i hear that you dont get to interact as well as staying on campus but it helps to have frends there to begin with.

i know ill be there a lot. specialy during freshers week

and to think i wont even be having lectures there..

The worst thing about living off campus is you won't get to spend time in the campus bars, so you won't meet as many people. Most people tend to make friends with the people living with and around them, so not living with anyone in your year puts you at a disadvantage. You'll have to work harder to make friends but it doesn't mean you can't do it!

cool, thanx for your help guys, im planning on spending the whole of freshers week on campus regardless of where i sleep, lol!!
