Physics (with Astrophysics) at York or Exeter?

Hello guys,
I'm unsure whether I should start this September 2014, doing Physics with Astrophysics at York or Exeter. I want to spend a year abroad in France to enhance my French and I know York have European study but Exeter has a better campus and I think I could still spend a year abroad in France with the Erasmus Scheme.

I'd like to hear from all of your but especially students and physicists from Exeter and York.
