These were the famous words which Oliver Cromwell said to the Rump Parliament on 6th December 1648, after he entered into the chamber with armed guards and declared it dissolved.

It's about time that an armed coup was launched ousting our own politicians from Parliament. And I am pretty sure the British people will not resist the temptation to give Cromwell's famous indictment, "In the name of God, go! You are no Parliament!"

This could be replaced by some sort of provisional dictatorial body with emergency powers, to sort out the crisis caused by incompetence and electioneering, by petty party political squabbles and corrupt malpractices. Let us rise as a nation above all this, and build a sustainable and prosperous future, with or without the acquiescence of our so-called representatives.

Nice idea.

Do you have any in-depth plans to carry this forth, or... what?

On what grounds would we want to overthrow Parliament?

I have a suspicion that the general discontentment is that people don't think Parliament is democratic enough, not that it's too democratic.

So to have it replaced by a dictatorial body (and there's no such thing as a provisional dictatorial body) would be a major step back. It would make today's politicians look like pillars of virtue.

So no, thanks.

So you want an armed group to oust a democratically elected government?

I think you're the one with issues here.
