Spaced repetition is a good way to study for subjects with a lot of facts, the website memrise is really useful tool for it.

Make sure you know what topics you'll be revising for that day because I find if I've set aside an hour of economics I'll faff around for half of it  Also don't over work and try to take lots of breaks or you'll burn yourself out

If i learn something new that i feel might be difficult to remember, i stick a post-it note saying 'what does this remind me of?' on top of it or i draw a picture on the note which will help me to recall the information when i need it. Its a good technique which i recommend to everyone as it helps our brain to connect ideas.
