I did the AVCE ICT double award, I didn't the GNVQ so I don't know, I guess it just depends on the college. It was apparantly quite a bit more advanced than the imtermediate though. The worst thing about is the heavy work load due to he over assesement.

There are one or two duff modules as well.

Yeah I'm studying AVCE ICT at college. It's pretty hard like!! Gets quite boring too, especially Unit 3 - Spreadsheets!! :frown:

I did the IGNVQ in school and i am now doing the AVCE ICT. I find the GNVQ alot easier than the AVCE, but then again they are totally different cos the AVCE is worth 3 A levels and the GNVQ is worth 4 GCSES.

I find unit 2,3 and 5 the hardest.

I'm finishing up AVCE ICT double award and i'm not finding it that hard. It can be hard, but it's not solid.

At the moment i'm doing AS AVCE ICT. I gotta say in many respect the subject is easy its just being able to cope with the workload. I didn't do ICT at GNVQ in year 10/11 and i'm finding it fairly straight forward now. Basically predicted an A/B this year.
For AVCE Business, Bized is good. http://www.bized.ac.uk

I find AVCE Business far tougher than my AS Level Psychology course. The assignments are worded and set in such a way that they are quite complicated. It has been noted that AVCE is like 2 years of A2.

It is a big step from GNVQ Business, which I also did.

Although I do enjoy AVCE very much, and I can see how the applications in the real-world are greater than a AS Level.

Hope this helps.
