Another health thread plz help

I jus have some simple questions :

1) For toning up, the more no. of reps u can do the more better it is? I mean if i can do 20 squats with 15 kg. Should i use a heavier weight than 15 and do 20 reps? or should i take 12 kg and do like 35 reps. So more reps the more better?

2) I control my water uptake by the colour of my urine. If the urine colour is near transparent im taking "ok" amount. If its more closer to yellow i need more water.. correct? (yellowish colour is caused by the amount of urea you have)

3) The milk bottles we get outside are ofcourse cold. Is it better to boil this milk and drink or jus drink it cold?
Not sure whether to take you seriously or not.

Better for what btw, bigger muscles?

Yes. In fact some may say that is too many reps already, and that fewer reps with a heavier weight is more advantageous to muscle growth...

The word 'toning' confused me because it has various different meanings to different people. :p:

warm milk allegedly speeds up your metabolism. i dont know whether or not this is true, maybe you should research it further if you're interested. i could never do it, warm milk is just disgusting to me.

But you just agreed that we were talking about muscle GROWTH above.

Read this and do your own research
ok if you're going to use the word toning then, you need to do more reps. Can't be arsed to attempt to understand a badly worded question.
1. No it is not the more reps the better. Use heavier weights and do fewer repititions to use your time most efficiently.Make sure that you keep good form throughout though otherwise the exercises are pointless. It is a myth that if you don't want to bulk up you should use lighter weights and do more reps. If you are not eating more than you are burning off you are not going to get bulky at all. If you are doing cardio alongside, you will just get more lean.

2. I wouldn't control your water intake this way. It is good as a general guidline but if your urine is relaly dark your body is already pretty dehydrated. Drink at least 2 litres per day, more if you feel the need to (in this weather I am often drinking up to about 3 litres occasionally even more)

3. I don't really think it matters how you drink your milk. The fact that you are drinking it is great though, it is really good for you especially as you are active:

Hope this helps!
