Has there ever been a time, where you just had to sit down and hope for a miracle to take place?

I've had a few times, but at the moment, my Grandad is in an ICU fighting for his life as the doctors have told him he has no more that 2 days left against his battle with cancer, atfer being diagnosed last month.

Go on, share your stories, and how it turned out in the end

I don't believe in miracles really but my thoughts are with your grandad. Hope he can pull through.

Any reason why?

And thanks for that

I'm not really religious I guess and I don't know if god has time for me.

I guess I kinda believe in miracles in some way or another, though. Sometimes things happen and I think there's a deeper meaning to it but idk if I'm just being silly to think that, and I totally get why someone would think I'm silly for thinking that. I guess it's nicer to think there's a deeper meaning to it though.

Yep. That kind of false hope at that particular time was the worst thing I ever experienced. When I didn't get my miracle I had the most outrageous manic episode and became an atheist. It was hilarious.

It's true though. It was OP's granddad so I assume he at least had a decent go of it. It's always sad when someone dies, but it's the natural order of things - for parents/grandparents to go before their kids/grandkids. OP should take comfort in that.

Wow plants comment was removed? That's really shoddy moderation.

Sadly death is an inevitable part of life. When a relative of mine was diagnosed with cancer, she was in her 80's and lived her life as she had wished. No one is immortal and she made what she wanted of her life. For that, nothing more can be wanted.

As they say, remember the good times and celebrate their life.
