Bruises and Scars

I had a fight with an escalator a few months ago and it has left me with some scarring on my legs (some of which looks like escalator teeth!). On my right leg, I just have one scar, but there were lots of cuts around it originally and a huge bruise. The other cuts have healed, and the bruise has faded, but the area all around the scar is still shaded, like a bruise in its very last stages. It doesn't hurt at all, but it is noticeable. Does anyone know why it still looks bruised or have any idea how to get my skin back to its usual hue?

A bruise is basically damaged blood vessels. Its quite possible that those blood vessels haven't healed yet. Very bad bruises can last months, it just takes time and eventually they will fade.

I remember my mum fell over on holiday and landed on a fire extingisher. She had a bruise for about 3 months, it eventually faded with time.

It's basically the same as the scar on my index finger then. That'll teach me to offer to do the washing up

Also, escalators are nasty things. When I was three my right foot had a bit of a disagreement with one, and ended up getting broken.
Were u wasted by chance?
It was post-ball... so there had been a little wine involved.
