@deech and @Megajules ...yours posts have been unbelievably helpful. I would like to offer sincere gratitude to both of your contributions to this page. @deech, how did your case go? For students currently going through the process, in addition to the advice given by Deech, I strongly advise to read the case law: Gopikrishna v OIA [2015] EWHC 207. HHJ Curran criticises the OIA on various aspects. Read paragraphs 72, 189, 195, 196, 197, 201, 203, 204, 205, 211, 213, 215, 219, 220 of the judgement. Also read Zahid v University of Manchester [2017] EWHC 188 (Admin). If you want to save money on lawyers and still achieve justice, you really need to be:
1) up to date on case law,
2) have enough support on your side,
3) have extreme perseverance,
4) listen carefully to the advice given by Deech on this page,
5) and be relatively smart, rational and ballsy!

Hi everyone, I am able to relate to so much of this post. My appeal has been upheld at stage one and an exam board is hearing my appeal today. I am also in the middle of a complaint. My treatment by the university was so appalling that I can never go back. I now suffer with anxiety. I was doing a postgraduate allied healtchare masters. I wonder if I can get in touch with some of you regarding the issues raised. My MP is taking my issues very seriously and is writing to Justine Greening, MP. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully we can work together to lobby parliament etc.

after a second appeal they have decided to close my case in favour of the university which is shocking to say the least. Now I have to go through the Judicial review which is very unclear and confusing on their website. I am about to lose my mind!
