i wont see my boyfriend for 5 weeks and for 2 of those weeks hes going on a lads holiday is that bad. he doesnt live in the same city.
what the longest you guys have been apart from you gf/bf???

Firstly, there's a thread just down the page on this topic. Secondly, you can't exactly stop him going on his holiday if he wants to - you just have to trust him. 5 weeks is a long time (I'll have gone that long without seeing my bf by the time I next do) but you'll survive.

There are plenty of people on here who've lasted much longer without seeing their other halves. It does seem like a long time but it'll be over soon enough. Try not to let it get you down and spend all your time obsessing over it.

My boyfriends just gone travelling, he's gone for a year. I'll be going out to see him at some point but I have no idea when i'm going to be able to as i'm in my final year at uni/have no money to afford long haul flights!

You'll be ok just try not to dwell on it. That's the only thing getting me through it - occupy your mind with other things :smile:

Even though it's the summer holidays, and you would expect me to see my boyfriend more as a result, I've been seeing him a lot less. I live in a place with poor transportation links (no public transport at all), so it makes it very hard to meet up with him.
At the moment, I haven't seen him for nearly 2 weeks. I won't be able to see him until next week, which will make it a total of 3 weeks without having seen him.
We cope by staying in contact via text messages and the internet.
