Primary PGCE

Hi Interrobang,

I saw you had commented on another persons conversation about PGCEs and you said you are completing a primary PGCE and that you have a Psychology degree. I too have a Psychology degree and would like to apply for a PGCE, but it concerns me as Psychology is not a national curriculum subject.

I know I can relate certain aspects of the degree to the national curriculum, but I just wanted to ask if there's anything else you did to help yourself to get onto the PGCE? Did you do lots of voluntary work in a school, or do you have A-levels in national curriculum subjects?

I hope you don't mind me asking you! I'm glad to hear they do accept Psychology graduates like yourself, I would just like to know if there's anything extra you did to improve your chances of getting accepted on a course that I can take on board and do too!

Sorry for the lengthy msg!

Thanks,
Dayna
