INSTRUCTIONS for Aurora Clock!!!

I really need some help asap. I own a Aurora Clock which i got from Hawkins Bazaar [http://www.hawkin.com/rkmain.asp?PAGEID=20670&STK_PROD_CODE=07780 is webpage for the item  ]

I used it for about 3 months fine, using the plug attached to the mains rather than the batteries. I then had to unplug the clock as my room was being re-decorated. When i plugged it back in there was no response at all. The screen would not show up and no light was being emitted. Also, when i first used the clock, i used batteries but one of them leaked but it has only cause rusting in a tiny place so i dont think that that is affecting it as it was like that the whole time using it. I left it unplugged for about 4 months, and today i tried to make it work by messing with it and still nothing happened.

Has anyone got a clock like this? Does anyone have the instructions for it as that may help? Scan or photo or quote maybe?

Or does any high tech person know a way which might help me resolve this.

P.S. Batteries cannot really be used on the long term as they were down very quickly.

P.s. I will give +rep to anyone who helps as soon as i have a good power rating.

Lol, you have less than 120 posts so your rep won't mean anything.

But an idea: have you tried putting batteries in to get it going, and then plugging it in?

Even when it is plugged into the mains, you must still have batteries in it.
