Can you get a larger maintenance cost if you're living in an expensive area?

I know that students living in London can apply for larger loans but does this only apply to London students? as there are other very expensive areas... for example I'm applying for Brighton which I've heard is similar to London prices and the accommodation ranges from between £4800 and £6000 a year, would I be eligible to apply for a larger/London maintenance loan?
