interesting view into the mindset of a VC in the 21st century - he sounds like a sausage factory owner worried about being starved of a supply of sausage skins.

businesses need to grow or die in real markets, the phony market HE sector based on encouraging school leavers into uni on the basis that it might lead them to get a higher paid job down the road now seems to be entering post growth.

What would you do in his shoes, how do you think universities can counter the threat of apprenticeships?
