Fed up of working in retail!

Im sick of it, I feel like all I ever do is tidy up after people and listen to people moaning all day! Im going to hand my notice in this week, as Ive been thinking of doing it for a while.

Its such hard work too for crap money!

Anyone else feel like this? Or is it just me!

No offence to anyone that works in retail or anything, it's just not for me!

Retail sucks, I can't stand it. I hate the whole idea of being nice to someone who is obviously an idiot.

I worked in Sainsburys and a Pet Shop. Hated them both, really disliked being a slave and having to pretend that Mrs Jones' problem with her Baked Beans even vaguely interested me. And the way people talked down to you because they assume that because you are working in a shop you are thick :p:

And that in the interview you had to pretend you really were interested in customer relations, yet it must have been glaringly obvious why you were actually there... £££. Ahhh memories, the list goes on!

So yeah, you aren't alone  I did the same and quite both :p: Now i'm doing something i enjoy anyway.
Retail isn’t the greatest job in the world, it can be very miserable, exhausted and some can be worn out at the end of the day, on the other hand some find it very enjoying as it gives them the opportunity to be independent. If you’re fed up then in that case try looking for a different job, which meets your needs, more effectivitely.
I like my co-workers and stuff but MY GAWD I CANNOT STAND THE CUSTOMERS.I don't even know where to begin on how stupid some of them are.Plus the job is a bit repetitive and boring.

I hate it too!

I was working in poundstretchers when I was 16, just on weekends for some extra cash when I first started college. Well one day this little girl said she wanted to work there when she's older and her mum turned round and said to her "oh no you won't ammount to much working here" grr I had to bite my tongue not to say "well excuse me but I'm actually in college full time and planning to go to uni so you can stick that up your ..." :p: but seriously when I've worked in retail the majority of customers looked down their noses at me, which is really annoying
