Hi guys!

This is the thread for the Edexcel Certificate / International GCSE in Chemistry (4CH0) for Summer 2014!

Some questions:

1. Do you like Chemistry?
Spoiler:
Show
I love it - favourite subject!

2. Favourite topic?
Spoiler:
Show
Organic chemistry

3. Least favourite topic?
Spoiler:
Show
Difficult... I honestly don't have one... I guess I prefer the theory and fundamentals to the practical uses, so probably stuff like the Haber process or the Contact process.

4. What did you get in your mock?
Spoiler:
Show
95% - highest in my year (yayayayayay ) - A*.

5. Prediction?
Spoiler:
Show
A*

6. Doing A level?
Spoiler:
Show
Yep - as well as biology, physics, drama and AS maths

So, if you're taking Edexcel International GCSE Chemistry, come in and have a chat!

I didn't take IGCSE Chemistry but well done on your results. If you're already getting such brilliant results in your mocks, maybe it's a good idea to get hold of an AS textbook to stretch yourself a little?

Funny you should say that! I spend a lot of my time on Chemguide looking up AS level chemistry- proper electronic configurations, organic structures like ketones and carboxylic acids, etc.
I think I'll ask my teacher if I could borrow a textbook as well!

Thanks for that mate - if you really love a subject, it's funny how much you're able to do
